Gandía is a coastal city placed 65 km south from Valencia and 116 km north from Alicante. It’s the capital of La Safor region, formed by 31 municipalities and with more than 150.000 inhabitants.
From Valencia (north) or from Alicante (south), we can arrive to Gandía by the National motorway CN 332 or by the highway AP-7 (exit 60 (Xeraco)/exit 61 (Oliva)).
From Madrid: Dual carriegeway A-3 with direction Alicante by N-332 or by AP-7.
From Almansa (Albacete): by A7, CV-40 or CV-60 direction Gandía. Also, you can plan your route with viamichelin.com or guiaremos.com.

Gandía has two train stations that belong to Cercanías Valencia, being both of them final of line C1. These are the stations of Gandía and Platja i Grau de Gandía, being this last one a railway stop with three trains by day.
From 2011 high speed trains (Alvia S-130) arrive from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha.
Cercanías (short distance train lines): From Valencia there are trains every 30 minutes on working days, and every 60 minutes on holidays.
From Valencia, it’s possible arrive to any destination in Spain.
AVE (Spanish High Speed): Madrid – Gandía: In less than 3 hours. Transportation from Gandía to Gandía Beach is included in the ticket. Gandía – Valencia, every 30 minutes.

The city of Gandía has a complete transportation network, both urban and inter-city. In the city there are right now four lines of urban buses. Red and yellow lines belong to L’Urbà, the public bus service of the Ayuntamiento de Gandía. These two lines are circular and connect all the city districts. Blue and green lines belong to La Marina Gandiense. Green line connects Real de Gandía with Gandía and el Grao de Gandía. Blue line connects Playa de Gandía and el Grao with the city.
L’Urbà: Now called Urbanet, new net with new and smaller buses, called “minibuses”, than connect the districts of Marxuquera, Marenys de Rafalcaid and Polígono Alcodar with Gandía centre.
La Marina Gandiense: Yellow color, the step frequency is 15-20 minutes, they leave from RENFE train station. The blue line connects Gandía city with the beach and el Grao. The green line connects Real de Gandía with Gandía and University and el Grao, and in summer there is also a line that connects Playa de Jaraco with Gandía.

Gandía has a bus station closet o RENFE train station, from where lines that connect the city with all the towns of the region leave. It’s also the base for the buses that leave to all the rest of Spain. Especially important is the line Gandía-Madrid, that belongs to Avanza, with more than 15 daily expeditions in summer. There are also conections to Salamanca, Medina del Campo, Tordesillas, Teruel, Zaragoza, Bilbao, Galicia, Barcelona, Alicante and Andalucía. To closer localities, there are conections Denia, Alicante, Valencia and all the towns of La Safor.

Historic centre of the city is pedestrian, so it’s advisable, if travelling by car, leave it in one of these underground parkings: Avenida República Argentina, Passseig de les Germanies or Plaça del Prado. Close to the sea, there is a big underground parking with access to the first line of the beach.
